In Maharashtra, most affected by the black fungus along with the corona virus epidemic, there has been a sharp decrease in corona cases in the last 24 hours, but even today, about 200 people died due to corona in the state. While 8,129 new cases of infection were reported. The death toll from Kovid in the state is heartbreaking.

The state revised the number of people who died of corona and added more names of 1392 people, taking the death toll from corona in the state to 1,12,696. So far, a total of 5,917,121 people have been infected and 112,696 people have lost their lives due to this epidemic in Maharashtra.

In the last 24 hours, 26,133 new cases of corona have been reported in Maharashtra, which is the lowest number of new infections after the last 2.5 months i.e. March 2, 2021. This has brought some relief to the state. Today 14,732 people have recovered from Kovid in Maharashtra, taking the number of recovered cases in the state to 3 5,654,003. The daily positivity rate in the state is 4.82%, while the overall positivity rate is 15.38%.

In the financial capital Mumbai, 530 new cases of Kovid-19 were reported in the last 24 hours. On Monday, 19 people lost their lives in Mumbai. So far 15,202 people have lost their lives to Corona in Mumbai and 716,190 people have been infected. In the last 24 hours, 261 new cases were reported in Pune, 71 new cases each in Navi Mumbai and Thane and 22 new cases in Nagpur.

The cases of corona in the state may have decreased but the black fungus continues to wreak havoc in Maharashtra. Till Sunday, 7935 people have been infected in the state due to its grip and 644 people have died due to this. While 2212 people have been cured of this deadly disease.
