In view of the corona virus epidemic, the central government has issued new guidelines to regulate attendance in government offices. According to the new guidelines of the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions (Department of Personnel), officers of the level of Under Secretary and above have been instructed to come to office on all working days from June 16 to June 30.

The Ministry of Personnel said in its instructions that disabled and pregnant women employees can continue to work from home. According to the new guidelines, 50% of officers below the level of Under Secretary in government offices will be present in the office on all working days and the remaining 50% officers will work from home. The central government has given this order to all the ministries and departments.

It has been said in the guidelines that all employees will have to strictly follow the rules related to corona. They have been asked to frequently wash hands, sanitize, wear masks, follow social distancing. Any laxity in this regard will be taken seriously. Also, employees will come in different shifts to avoid overcrowding in the office.

The first shift will be from 9 am to 5.30 pm. The second shift will be from 9.30 am to 6 pm and the third shift will be from 10 am to 6.30 pm. It has also been said in this order that persons with disabilities and pregnant women employees will continue to be exempted from coming to the office, but they will have to work from home till further orders.

All the officers living in the Containment Zone will have to work from home until that area comes out of the Containment Zone. Work from home employees and officers will be available on telephone and other electronic means during working hours. The meeting will be conducted through video-conferencing. These instructions will be in force from June 16 to June 30.
