YY presents Lifetime Achievement Award to Larsen & Toubro Group Chairman AM Nayak
Falguni Nair, founder of Nykaa, an online retailing cosmetics, has been named EY Entrepreneur of the Year for 2021. Falguni will represent India at the ‘YY World Entrepreneur of the Year’ event on June 9, consulting firm YY Entrepreneur said on Tuesday.
Falguni Nair, founder and CEO of Nykaa, is one of the richest women entrepreneurs in India. Falguni Nair started Nike at the age of 50 and recently it hit the Indian stock market. Nykaa has more than 15 million registered users on its platform today and serves about 1.5 million orders per month.
Falguni Nair is a graduate of IIM Ahmedabad. He has worked with consulting firm AF Ferguson & Co. He later worked for Kotak Mahindra Capital Limited for a few years.

At the same time, YY has honored AM Nayak, chairman of Larsen & Toubro Group, with the Lifetime Achievement Award. After joining the group in 1965, Nayak was promoted to chairman and managing director.

Speaking on the occasion, Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav said that the 21 people who have competed for the Entrepreneur of the Year award have a combined revenue of Rs 1.87 lakh crore and these entrepreneurs provide employment to more than 2.60 lakh people.
Please be informed that this award has been announced in 9 more categories. The winners are established entrepreneurs as well as young entrepreneurs related to startups and unicorns. An independent jury of nine members selected the winners. The jury was headed by KV Kamat, former chairman of ICICI Bank. Other jury members are Dr Kiran Majumder Shah of Biocon and Viva Padalkar of HDFC Life.
