But at a recent press conference, Karan Johar raised the issue of increasing the remuneration of young artists. In the context of rising demand for wages, Karan Johar says that new artists can certainly feel the heat.

The stars have increased fees by 100%

During a roundtable conference of producers at Film Companion, Karan Johar gave his views on the demand to increase the fees of new stars. Apart from Karan Johar, Reema Kagati, Zoya Akhtar, Nikhil Advani and Sameer Nair were also present at the press conference. This time Karan Johar said that ‘many youngsters have increased their fees up to 100 per cent. Some stars say that their pictures have not been released or released due to which they have increased their fees.

Why do writers get less money?

Karan Johar said that all this was happening when the film industry was trying to make a profit. The situation was such that the shooting of the film had to be stopped. All the cinematographers present there agree with Karan Johar. Then Karan Johar said, “Technicians and writers get much less money from them, yet their demand is not met.”

Why should I pay 15 crore to an actor?

All producers agree with Karan Johar that this argument works for well-known artists, but for young actors who have not set foot in this work, it is very childish. Karan says- ‘If I pay for the technical crew who really make a film special. Why should I give Rs 15 crore to an actor and Rs 55 lakh to an editor? ‘
