But now a movie is going to be made these days. This includes the makers of the upcoming documentary ‘Angry Young Men’ based on Salman Khan, Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar, Selim Khan and Javed Akhtar.
Who will be the director
Directed by Namrata Rao, the project will take on the role of Salim-Javed, who redefined Bollywood films with a long list of hits in the seventies and eighties. The pair introduced elements of constant anger, violence and masculinity into heroic hits. Amitri has given Bachchan the biggest icon of Bollywood so far as Angry Young Man.

Gave many superhit movies
Renowned as the first Indian screenwriter to achieve star status, Selim-Javed Bachchan wrote the blockbuster classics ‘Zanjeer’ (1973), ‘Dewar’ (1975), ‘Shole’ (1975), ‘Trishul’ (1978). ‘Don’ (1978), ‘Kala Pathar’ (1979), ‘Dostana’ (1980), ‘Shan’ (1980) and ‘Shakti’ (1982).
Big B makes ‘Angry Youth’
Although mainly recognized for his Big B-starrer ‘Angry Young Man’ script, his memorable works go beyond the template. He started with films like ‘Andaaz’, ‘Hatir Mere Saathi’ and ‘Odhikar’ (all 1971) and ‘Sita Aur Gita’ (1972), ‘Yadon Ki Barat’ (1973), ‘Kranti’ (1981). Wrote and did ‘Mr. India’ (1987) among other films, collaborating with many top stars and filmmakers of the time.
