Shardul will shine
Shardul Tagore has made a good start in Test cricket and the Indian fast bowling all-rounder is looking to repeat his stellar performances in the ongoing series against South Africa in Australia and England. Due to his superior batting prowess, the Indian team management has preferred Thakur over Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav in the ongoing first Test against South Africa here.
Talking to teammate Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul told BCCI.TV, “I am waiting for my performance. I have been successful in England and Australia and hope to do well in South Africa. I would be happy to contribute to the conditions in South Africa. Shardul, who has taken 67 wickets as well as 366 runs for India in 43 international matches in the format, believes confidence is important.
Shardul is strong in batting including bowling
“I like to plan my game in both bowling and batting,” Shardul said. When I go on the field, confidence is everything to me. If you are playing white ball cricket then you will think of Yorker. So I go to yorker ball with full confidence which is important to me as a player. The Mumbai cricketer said that his goal is to be a player who always contributes to the team’s victory.
