Politics has heated up after Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s remarks in the Delhi Assembly on The Kashmir Files. The quarrel between the Aam Aadmi Party and the BJP is growing. At the last meeting of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) house, there were fierce clashes between AAP-BJP leaders.
In fact, the BJP councilors came up with a motion of condemnation in the House. BJP councilors alleged that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had made fun of Kashmiri pundits in the Delhi Assembly, for which Aam Aadmi Party leaders and councilors should apologize.
Aam Aadmi Party councilors reached the parliamentary leader and started rioting. Several councilors on both sides “practiced” with each other and both sides accused each other of violating the sanctity of the House.
At the beginning of the Parliamentary session, mourning was expressed for the death of Ishwari Das Mahajan, a veteran leader and Chairman of the Standing Committee in the 80’s. Bir Singh Panwar, chairman of the EDMC standing committee, complained that “before paying homage to him, AAP members started making noise and abusing BJP members.”
Panwar claimed that the AAP councilor was alleging that BJP Delhi state president Aadesh Gupta had recently made false statements against Kejriwal about the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ and recent remarks by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal about the Kashmiri Pandit community.
He said the AAP councilors got into a scuffle, which is why the BJP councilors also defended themselves. AAP councilor and opposition leader Manoj Kumar Tyagi has alleged that BJP members have come down on muscle power and used unparliamentary language. He alleged that BJP members had harassed several AAP councilors, including women.
