Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi has accused some people of disturbing the peace in Mumbai. He said the peaceful environment in Mumbai was being disrupted by anti-social elements. Purposefully during the month of Ramadan, DJs with the slogan ‘Joy Shri Ram’ are playing in front of the mosque to provoke the small Muslim population.
Abu Azmi demanded that Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar take action in this regard. He wrote on Facebook that the peaceful atmosphere in Mumbai is being disrupted by anti-socials. Deliberately during the month of Ramadan, in areas with low Muslim population, DJs are playing in front of mosques with the slogan ‘Joy Shri Ram’ so that people get angry and fight among themselves. I urge Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Home Minister Dilip Walse Patil and the Mumbai Police Commissioner to take stern action against those responsible for this incident.
Abu Azmi wrote that the incident also took place on Sunday in Maloni area of Mankhurd PMG colony in Malad. Cars have been vandalized, swords have been drawn, people have been injured, Mumbai police are fully aware of all the incidents. Police should take stern and stern action against anti-social elements that disturb the peace of Mumbai city and state.
