Biological E will help the country in the fight against corona, data collection is preparing to bring booster dose

The Central Drugs Standards Control Organization (CDSCO) has approved the Serum Institute of India’s (SII) anti-covid-19 vaccine ‘Kovovax’ and the ‘Biological E’ company’s ‘Corvax’ vaccine for emergency use with certain conditions. In addition, controlled use of the Covid-19 drug ‘Malnupiravir’ (tablets) in emergencies is also permitted. Thus, 8 vaccines against corona have been approved in the country. Booster Dosage will be launched in the country from January 10, so companies are collecting data on booster dosage.

Sources also said that they are preparing systematic data for biological e-booster dose study after the vaccine is approved. In the wake of the third wave, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address to the nation, announced a booster dose for people over 60 years of age. Keeping in mind the need for booster doses, the company will also focus on creating booster doses in the future.

On the other hand, Biologicals E. Ltd. The Covid-19 vaccine plans to produce 75 million doses of Corbevax per month. More than 100 million doses per month are expected from February 2022. As promised by the company, it will help meet the target of 300 million doses.

Corbevax is India’s first home-made protein sub-unit vaccine against the corona epidemic, which was approved by the DGCI today. The vaccine maker plans to supply more than one billion additional doses worldwide. These capabilities will enable the Hyderabad-based company to supply 300 million doses to the government as promised.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandavia tweeted, “Happy India. Strengthening the fight against covid-19, the Central Drugs Standards Control Organization (CDSCO) has given three approvals in one day. Kovavax, Corvax vaccine and the drug ‘Malnupiravi’ are approved for emergency use with certain conditions. As a result of this approval, the number of Covid-19 vaccines used in emergencies in the country stood at eight.
