BSP rebel MLAs meet Akhilesh Yadav ahead of US elections, may join SP

Socialist chief and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav met nine rebel BSP MLAs on Tuesday, sparking speculation that all of them would join the SP.

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, political turmoil has intensified ahead of next year’s assembly elections and all parties have begun preparations for the polls. Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party chief and former UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav met nine rebel BSP MLAs in Mangalbad.

All 9 MLAs can join SP

Akhilesh Yadav met the expelled MLAs from the BSP at the Samajwadi Party (SP) office in Lucknow. Once this speculation begins, all rebel legislators can join the SP. However, no official statement has been issued yet.

According to the Hindustan Times, BSP MLA Aslam Reni, Dholna (Hapur) MLA Aslam Ali Chowdhury, Pratapur (Prayagraj) MLA Mujtaba Siddiqui, Handia (Prayagraj) MLA Hakim Lal Bin, Sidhauli (Sitapur) have been expelled from the BSP. MLA Hargobind Vargab, Mungra (Badshahpur) MLA Sushma Patel, Sagdi MLA Bandana Singh, Sadabad MLA Ramvir Upadhyay and Unnar MLA Anil Singh met Akhilesh Yadav.

Alleged involvement in anti-party activities

Let us know that BSP chief Mayawati dismissed Ram Achal Rajvar and Lalji Verma for their alleged involvement in anti-party activities. It is said that during the recent Zila Panchayat elections, both of them fielded candidates against the party. Ram Achal Rajvar, MLA of Akbarpur in Ambedkar Nagar, and Lalji Verma, MLA of Katahari and both were very close to Mayawati. In addition to being expelled from the party, Mayawati also instructed all office bearers that the two MLAs should not be invited to any party program.
