A Mumbai court has granted bail to three students in the Bully Buy App case, saying the accused were “immature and ignorant” and had been abused by other “deep knowledge” defendants. Bandra court magistrate K. C. The Rajputs granted bail to Bishal Kumar Jha, Shweta Singh and Mayank Agarwal on April 12, while the bail pleas of accused Omkareshwar Tagore and Neeraj Singh were rejected. A detailed order was issued on Tuesday.
The court also asked the parents or guardians of the accused, who have been released on bail, to do ‘counseling’ if possible to teach their children about the rules of social behavior, including behavior through social media. Earlier, the magistrate court and the sessions court denied bail to all of them. After filing a police chargesheet in the case, the accused re-applied.
The court said that it could be concluded from the documents that the accused Neeraj Vishnu, Omkareshwar Tagore and Neeraj Singh were mainly involved in creating the app and uploading and disseminating information. The court said that the accused Bishal Kumar Jha, Shweta. Singh and Mayank Agarwal followed the accused and they were involved in some petty activities. The court said that the role of Shweta and Mayank in this way was “less serious” than that of Vishnu, Thakur and Neeraj Singh.
According to the court, Vishnu, Thakur and Neeraj were mature in age and had an understanding, yet they abused the immaturity and ignorance of the three young accused. The court said that the trials of Vishal, Shweta and Mayank are coming and if they are kept in jail, their future will be adversely affected. Therefore, considering the charges against the three and their age, they are entitled to be released on bail as their role is “less serious”.
