Delhi Police has brought drug smuggler Bali from London to India, maybe a lot of information!

Delhi Police’s Special Cell has succeeded in extraditing a British national to India linked to a drug racket. The accused was brought to India from London and was arrested by a special cell of Delhi Police. The accused was identified as Harbinder Singh alias Balli, 50. Police claim that Balli is the mastermind of drug trafficking. The Special Cell has already arrested some of his associates. Harbinder Singh’s name came up after his spotting, then the police brought him back to India from London.

This is the second time this year that a special cell has extradited a Londoner to India for engaging in criminal activity. Earlier, in March 2021, Special Cell brought a British national named Kishan Singh to Delhi.

Special Cell DCP Rajeev Ranjan said Harbinder Singh alias Bali runs a drug racket and is involved in drug smuggling under the name Mio Mio. He is the ringleader of the gang and his associates have been carrying out the entire drug smuggling operation in India. In 2018, while filing a case under the NDPS Act, 7 members of Balli’s gang were arrested.

What’s the matter?

According to the police, on May 17, 2016, a special cell raided the truck parking cargo complex of IGI Airport Terminal-2. Police recovered a consignment of drugs from here. Ashish Sharma and Asim Ali were arrested with drugs in the case. After questioning the two, police arrested Praveen Saini, Rajendra Kumar, Pawan Kumar, Lalit Sukhija and Akshat Gulia, accused in the racket.

During the investigation, it was learned that the mastermind of the drug racket was Harbinder Singh alias Bali, who was operating the drug racket in the UK. Subsequently, the special cell court issued a non-bailable warrant against the victim and started the process of bringing him to India.

During the investigation, special cell phones recorded the victim’s conversation. Last year, on the recommendation of the Special Cell, the Government of India requested the UK Government to extradite him. The accused Harbinder Singh was arrested by the UK police in February this year. After completing the court and legal formalities, the special cell team reached the UK, took the accused into custody and brought him to Delhi. The accused lived in the South Hall of Britain.
