Become an officer in 10 different ways
According to the information given on the website, one can join the Indian Army as an officer in 10 different ways. The age and educational qualification for each post to join the Indian Army as an officer is as follows-
National Defense Academy (NDA): To become an NDA thru officer, the age should be between 16.5 years to 19.5 years and the educational qualification should be 10+2. NDA Vacancy comes twice in a year for 300 candidates.
10+2 Tech Entry Scheme: Under the 10+2 Tech Entry Scheme, 85 vacancies come out twice a year. For this also age should be between 16.5 to 19.5 years and 10+2 pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM) with 70% marks.
Indian Military Academy (Non-Tech): Under this scheme, Indian Army recruits 250 youth twice a year. For this the age should be between 19 to 24 years and should be graduate from a recognized university.
Short Service Commission (Non-Tech): 175 candidates can be recruited as officers in the army twice a year through SSC. For SSC, age should be between 19 to 25 years and should be graduate from a recognized university.
Short Service Commission (Tech Male & Female): There are 50 vacancies per course twice a year for SSC-Tech, whose age is between 19 to 27 years and students of BE/B.Tech stream of Engineering/B.Arch, MSC Computer Science can become officers in Army through SSC-Tech. can.
NCC Special (Male and Female): Twice a year with 50 vacancies per course, the army is recruited through NCC specials. For this, those students of 19 to 25 years who have passed LLB / LLM with 50% marks can apply. For this it is necessary that you have had NCC for 2 years. You have got a certificate of B or C grade in NCC.
TGC Education (AEC): Through TGC i.e. Technical Education Course, one can also fulfill the dream of becoming an officer in the army. Students in the age group of 23 to 27 years who have done MA/MSc with first or second division can apply.

Universal Entry Scheme (UES): There are 60 vacancies per course. Students of 18 to 24 years of engineering pre-final year or 19 to 25 years of final year can apply through this.
TGC (Engineers): Vacancy comes out twice in a year for the candidates of 21 to 27 years in the Indian Army for Engineering-B.Arch, MSc Computer, BE and B.Tech students, this recruitment is done through TGC.
