Durga Puja pandals attacked in Bangladesh, the Ministry of External Affairs gave this statement

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that the Government of India is in constant touch with the Government of Bangladesh after the violence during Durga Puja in Bangladesh.

New Delhi: During Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh, some unidentified miscreants attacked temples (Bangladesh Hindu Temple Attacked), due to which the government there has had to deploy paramilitary forces in 22 districts. It was told in media reports on Thursday that 3 people died and many others were injured in the riots. On this matter, the Government of India has now said that it is in constant touch with the government of the neighboring country regarding some untoward incidents that happened during Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh and the government there has also taken immediate action regarding these incidents and So far 43 people have been detained.

Government of India in touch with Dhaka administration

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi (Arindam Bagchi) said on Thursday that during Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh, some incidents have happened at some religious places, some attacks have taken place. It’s all in our eyes. We are in constant touch with the Government of Bangladesh in this regard. We have seen that the Government of Bangladesh has acted immediately on this matter, they have engaged the police, have taken security measures. Durga Puja festival is being celebrated in Bangladesh. It is being celebrated with the cooperation of the government and people there.

Hindu temples vandalized during Durga Puja

The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said that the Indian High Commission and Consulate (Indian High Commission and Consulates Dhaka) is in touch with the administration in Dhaka and other places. It is noteworthy that during Durga Puja celebrations in Bangladesh, some unidentified miscreants damaged Hindu temples, due to which the government has to deploy paramilitary forces in 22 districts. During this riot, 3 people died and many others were injured.

Such a big violence happened after a small ruckus

Following allegations of blasphemy, a local temple in Kamila, about 100 km away, became the focal point of a social media uproar on Wednesday, bdnews24.com news website reported. Then after the clash, the administration and police tried to control the situation. This was followed by incidents of damage to Hindu temples at Hajiganj in Chandpur, Banskhali in Chittagong and Pekua in Cox’s Bazar. On the other hand, according to the news of Dhaka Tribune newspaper, the situation got out of control at one place and after this there were riots which spread to many Durga Puja venues.
