The heat wave situation continues in 14 more districts of the state.
Khandwa, Damoh, Khajuraho and Naogaon recorded maximum temperatures of 43 degrees Celsius on Thursday, said PK Saha, senior meteorologist at the IMD Bhopal office. However, due to the change in wind direction, the heat wave situation in these areas may improve on Friday, he said.
Outbreaks of heat have been reported in these districts
Saha said the heatwave hit 14 districts on Thursday, including Bhopal, Jabalpur, Guna, Khargone, Rajgarh, Ratlam, Chhindwara, Mandla, Rewa, Satna, Sioni, Sidhi, Umaria and Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district.
Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, recorded the highest temperature of 40.4 degrees Celsius (five degrees above normal), while Indore recorded 38.9 (three degrees above normal), Jabalpur 40.7 (five degrees above normal) and Gwalior 41.8 degrees Celsius. (Seven degrees higher than normal).
The Regional Meteorological Center in Nagpur said that there is a possibility of heat wave in some areas on Friday, but it did not predict severe heat wave.
The situation in Delhi is bad due to the heat
Fire is falling from the sky in Delhi too. The day started with a scorching heat in the national capital on Friday morning with a minimum temperature of 21.4 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the humidity was 48 percent at 8.30 am. The maximum temperature of the day is forecast to be around 39 degrees Celsius and strong winds are expected.

IMD officials said prolonged dry weather has caused heatwave in north-western India. A ‘severe heat wave’ is expected in Delhi between April 3 and 5.
