Jahangirpuri violence: Aslam and Ansar remanded for 1 day, Delhi Police told court

In the Jahangirpuri violence case, Delhi Police today produced 14 accused in Rohini court. The court remanded Ansar and Aslam in police custody for one day and the remaining 12 were remanded in judicial custody for 14 days. Delhi Police told the court that on the 15th, Ansar and Aslam found out that a journey was about to take place and that these people had hatched a conspiracy. Delhi Police further said that we have to look at the CCTV footage and identify the others involved in the incident.

In the wake of Hanuman Jayanti violence in Jahangirpuri, Delhi Police conducted a vigilant patrol in the Uttam Nagar area. Rabindra Yadav, special CP of the crime branch, said that the district police and the crime branch were jointly investigating the violence in Jehangir Puri. On the other hand, Delhi BJP state president Aadesh Gupta has made big allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party over the Jahangirpuri violence. The BJP state president has made serious allegations that Kejriwal’s job is to provide free electricity and water to the Rohingya, Bangladeshis and to settle in Delhi.

He alleged that Ansar, an official of the Aam Aadmi Party, had been arrested in connection with the violence in Jahangirpuri, Delhi. He said the miscreants attacked with swords and bottles. The Home Minister is monitoring the situation round the clock. He further added that the attack on Ram Navami was not a coincidence but a conspiracy. He said it was the mentality of the Tukde Tukde gang. This is the same mentality that throws stones at the tricolor. At the same time, Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Reena Gupta said that what will happen if Aadesh Gupta complains.

On Sunday, a day after the violence in the Hanuman Jayanti procession in the C block of Jahangirpuri, there was an exciting calm. There was a heavy police presence in the C block, the epicenter of Saturday’s violence, and shops and markets near the Jahangirpuri metro station reopened as usual on Sunday. One local man and eight policemen were injured in the violence.
