PFI leader killed:Three RSS activists have been arrested for killing an PFI leader on April 15 in Kerala’s Palakkad district. Kerala police said the three were friends of the RSS leader who was killed here in November last year.
Ramesh, Arumughan and Saravanan have been arrested
ADGP (Law and Order) Vijay Sakhar said that three accused Ramesh, Arumughan and Saravanan have been arrested. Everyone is an RSS worker. To avenge the death of RSS leader Sanjit, he is believed to have assassinated Popular Front of India (PFI) leader Subair, 43, in November 2021. According to the ADGP, Ramesh was a very close friend of Sanjit. According to Ramesh, Sanjit had told him that if anything happened to him, Subair would be responsible for it.
A senior official said the investigation into Sanjit’s murder did not reveal Subay’s involvement. So, after killing Sanjit, Ramesh started plotting to assassinate the PFI leader and the three tried to kill him once or twice, but they could not do so due to the presence of police in the area. The official said that they came again on April 15 and carried out the murder.
The identity of the accused is that of RSS leader SK Srinivasan
Sakhare said efforts were being made to find out if any other conspirators were involved. RSS leader SK Srinivasan, 45, said in Sakhar that the accused had been identified and an operation was underway to nab them. “They are fugitives,” the officer said. That is why an operation is being carried out to arrest them. Sakhar said on Monday that the culprits identified in both the cases so far include members or cadres of both PFI-SDPI and BJP-RSS.
Srinivasan, a former district leader and RSS activist, was attacked by a six-member gang at his motorcycle shop in Melmuri on Saturday. Just 24 hours earlier, Subayer was killed in Ilapulli district on Friday afternoon while returning home with his father after Friday prayers.
This is the second killing of BJP / RSS and SDPI / PFI people in Kerala in the last few months. In December last year, one SDPI leader and one BJP leader were killed within 24 hours in Alappuzha.
