Sonia Gandhi targeted the BJP on the founding day of the Congress

In a scathing attack on the BJP, Congress President Sonia Gandhi has said that the divisive ideology rooted in hatred and prejudice is trying its best to weaken India’s strong base. In a message addressed to Congress workers on the party’s 137th founding day, Sonia Gandhi said, “History is being made and a despicable attempt is being made to eradicate the ‘Ganga-Jamuni’ culture of the country.”

In a video message, the Congress president said, “Ordinary citizens of the country are feeling insecure. Dictatorship is reigning in the country, democracy and constitution are being ignored.

He said that the Congress would not be a silent spectator and would not allow anyone to destroy the prosperity and heritage of the country. Gandhi said, “Electoral ups and downs come and go, but what is always with us is the commitment to serve all people in our diverse society.”

Sonia Gandhi’s remarks came after a section of Hindu religious leaders used derogatory words against Mahatma Gandhi and praised his assassin Nathuram Godse. “Divided ideologies, bound by hatred and prejudice and which had no role in our freedom movement, are now destroying the secular fabric of our society,” he said.

Prime Minister Modi and Amit Shah have said this while targeting Akhilesh Yadav.
