The victim is working as an assistant police inspector in Meghwadi police station. An FIR has been lodged against the three in this regard. A statement issued by the police department said the main accused raped a female police officer on the pretext of marriage and also made a video of the incident to blackmail her.

Cases have been filed in many departments
An FIR under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and IT Act has been lodged with the Meghwadi police station on June 11 against a female police officer, police said. According to the police, the case has been shifted to Powai police station under zero FIR. However, no arrests have been made in the case so far.
