Protesting doctors detained: ‘Doctors need respect and rights, not false PR’, says Priyanka Gandhi

NEET-PG Resident doctors of different hospitals took out a procession from Safdarjung Hospital to protest the delay in counseling. Doctors were trying to protest up to the Supreme Court for repeatedly delaying the NEET test, even though the police blocked them on the way. At that time the police took custody of protesters. Commenting on the police action, Priyanka Gandhi Bhadra said that during the time of Corona, these young doctors had supported citizens from all over the country, far from their loved ones.

Now is the time to stand by the doctors of the whole country and wake up Narendra Modi, who used the police force against them and ignored their demands. Priyanka Gandhi said that doctors need respect and entitlement, not false PR.

The Federation of Resident Doctors Association has demanded vandalism by police during the protests. Forda has called it a dark day in the history of the medical fraternity. FORDA has condemned the police action and announced that all health facilities will be completely closed from today.

At the same time, one protester said that we were protesting against the delay in NEET 2021 counseling, at the same time Delhi Police arrested several resident doctors who were marching up to the Supreme Court.

Resident doctors across the country are protesting the multiple postponement of NEET-PG Counseling 2021 from 27 November. On December 6, the RDA also suspended emergency services. The movement was suspended for a week on the assurance of the health ministry.
