Punjab Election 2022: Chief Minister Charanjit Channi targets Kejriwal, says Punjab does not need liars and ‘outsiders’

Punjab Election 2022: Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi on Monday said Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal’s Punjabis should not be taken lightly and understood that they are capable of running their state and should not be questioned by any “outsider”.

According to an official statement, Channi, who came to Khanna to inaugurate a playground and panchayat building in Rohno Kalan village, said, “Proud Punjabis will never allow outsiders like Kejriwal to rule themselves.” He said his government was implementing the agenda of the common man when people like Kejriwal were “promising to bring moon and stars to the people of Punjab instead of working for the betterment of the common people of Delhi”.

Channi said Kejriwal is adept at exposing a bunch of lies

“Kejriwal can expose a bunch of lies in front of the people of Punjab,” he said. He will be sent to jail for having links with drug smugglers.

“And when the AAP failed to form a government in Punjab, the same Kejriwal sought unconditional pardon from Majithia in the same court, also in the letterhead of the AAP. Families who have lost their children to drugs will never pardon Kejriwal,” he said. Channy said his government had initiated legal proceedings and not only registered a case against Majithia, but also launched an operation.

He said the ‘uncle-nephew’ relationship between former chief minister Amarinder Singh and Vikram Singh Majithia was now known to all as the former chief minister was issuing statements in favor of the Akali leader. At another event in Moga, Channy assured the public that the previous SAD-BJP coalition government would be held accountable for “decades of misrule” and betrayal of the people.
