New Delhi: The Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast mild relief today in the heat of June. According to the latest update, strong winds with rain in and around Delhi may prevail for the next 48 hours, but the people of Delhi will have to wait a few more days for the monsoon showers. It is to be noted that the Meteorological Department had forecast the arrival of monsoon till June 15, 12 days before its pre-determined date.
So late rain
According to the IMD, the monsoon has slowed down due to weak east winds. The department had earlier estimated that due to the formation of low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal, strong winds and monsoon line, this time the monsoon could reach Delhi by 12 months before the official date i.e. 15th June. Let us tell you that the official date of monsoon in Delhi is 2nd June.

The meteorological department has forecast rains in different parts of Delhi on Tuesday with winds reaching 40-50 kmph. On the other hand, there is a possibility of light rain on Wednesday.
The department estimates that temperatures will remain below normal for the next 6 days. The weather will be especially pleasant on Wednesday and Thursday. The maximum temperature at this time can be up to 33 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Delhi on Monday was 38.6 degrees, which is 1 degree below normal. At the same time, the minimum temperature was 25.5 degrees Celsius, which is 3 degrees lower than normal.
