The first death due to the coronavirus vaccine has been confirmed in India and a 686-year-old man has died who was given the first dose of the vaccine on March 20, 2021.
New Delhi: The vaccine is considered to be the biggest weapon against coronavirus and people over the age of 18 are being vaccinated in the country. Meanwhile, a panel formed by the central government has confirmed the first death in India after vaccinating against coronavirus.
A 68-year-old man died
The Hindustan Times reported that a report by a central government panel revealed that a man aged 8 had died after being vaccinated. The first dose of the vaccine was given to the elderly on March 7, 2021, and he died shortly thereafter.
All three had anaphylaxis
Of the millions of people who received the Covid-19 vaccine between February 5 and March 31, three had anaphylaxis due to the vaccine, one of whom died, the report said.
25,900 doses of vaccine have been given
According to the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), so far (June 15, 7 am) 25 crore 90 lakh 44 thousand 72 doses have been given across the country.
