The Congress will hold nationwide protests on Friday against rising inflation. All Congress MPs will protest against inflation at Vijay Chowk at 9 am. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi may also join the protest. It is said that Rahul Gandhi will lead the Congress protest in Vijay Chowk. However, party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi may join the protest in Shimla.
In the last nine days, the total has been increased by Rs 5.60 per liter. On Wednesday, petrol and diesel prices rose by 80 paise per liter. In the national capital Delhi, the price of petrol has now gone up from Rs 100.21 per liter to Rs 101.01 and the price of diesel has gone up from Rs 91.47 per liter to Rs 92.27.
Petrol and diesel prices have been increased across the country, but their prices vary from state to state depending on local taxes. Petrol-diesel prices were hiked on March 22 after a record 137 days of stabilization. Then the price was increased for the eighth time.
At the same time, the price of CNG has risen sharply in the last six months. In some cities, it has increased by 36 percent. Adani Gas has increased CNG prices by 37 per cent in Ahmedabad, while Gujarat Gas has increased its operating area in Gujarat by 30 per cent. In Delhi, Indraprastha gas prices rose 33%, and in Mumbai, metropolitan gas prices rose 27%. In March alone, prices rose by Rs 9.6 per kg in Ahmedabad and Rs 7 per kg in Delhi.
Indraprastha Gas Limited has increased the price of domestic piped natural gas (PNG). In Delhi-NCR, PNG’s standard cubic meter has been increased by Rs 1, then PNG will be available here at Rs 36.61 per unit. The new price is effective March 24, 2022.
