The absconding accused Inspector Jagat Narayan Singh and SI Akshay Kumar Mishra have been arrested in the Manish Gupta murder case. Gorakhpur Police has made this arrest. While the search for the other 4 accused is still on.
Gorakhpur: The police have got a big success in the case of suspicious death in police custody of property dealer Manish Gupta in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Gorakhpur Police has arrested 2 out of 6 policemen who were absconding on Sunday. These include Inspector Jagat Narayan Singh and SI Akshay Kumar Mishra. It is being told that both the policemen were trying to surrender in the court, but before that they were arrested from Ramgarhtal area.
Police had sought help from the public
The Kanpur Police Commissionerate on Saturday released the photos of the absconding policemen and sought help from the public to apprehend them. It was said in the statement that the name of the person giving information about the absconding policemen will be kept secret. Along with this, he will also be given a reward of Rs 1 lakh per each accused.

The incident happened on September 27
Let us tell you that Manish Gupta, a property dealer living in Kanpur, had gone to Gorakhpur with two of his colleagues in connection with work. They were staying at a hotel named Krishna Inn in Gorakhpur on September 27. Then SHO Jagat Singh Narayan and his accompanying policemen woke him up at 12 o’clock in the name of checking. When they protested, they were caught and taken to the police station. It is alleged that he was beaten to death there (Manish Gupta Murder Case). After this incident, on the request of the deceased’s wife Meenakshi Gupta, the Yogi government has transferred the investigation to Kanpur.

The Kanpur Commissionerate had earlier announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for catching these absconding policemen, which was increased to Rs 1 lakh each on Saturday. After this, two absconding policemen were arrested on Sunday. While the search for the other 4 is still on. The names of the absconding policemen include SI Vijay Yadav, SI Rahul Dubey, Head Constable Kamlesh Singh Yadav and Constable Prashant Kumar.
