Mumbai Police has arrested a cab driver, who is accused of sending obscene video-messages to a female passenger. The woman had canceled the ride, after which the accused was continuously harassing her. Police has arrested him from Bihar.
Mumbai: It is common for those traveling in the cab to have a dispute with the driver. Sometimes the passengers overreact, and sometimes the drivers create a ruckus over a small matter. A similar case has come to light in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra, where the cab driver harassed the woman after the ride was canceled. The accused was so infuriated that he sent obscene videos to the woman. Now the police has arrested him.
Threats started coming from the next day
According to the report of ‘Times of India’, the police said that the complainant had booked a cab for her husband and father-in-law, but she canceled the ride due to the faulty AC of the car. From the next day onwards, threats and obscene videos and messages started coming from different numbers to the woman and her husband. After this the woman contacted LT Marg police and lodged an FIR.

The accused had fled to Bihar
When the police started investigating the matter, it came to light that the cab driver was involved. However, before the police could reach him, the 18-year-old driver had left for Bihar. After this a team of police went to Bihar and arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Utsav Kumar. A case has been registered against him for outraging the modesty of a woman under IPC and IT Act.
Accused abused the victim
The complainant told the police that she had booked a cab from Borivali to South Mumbai for her husband and father-in-law. However, he canceled the ride due to high fares and bad AC. This made the driver very angry. He first abused the woman and her husband and then from the next day started sending them obscene videos and messages.
