New DelhiThe claim that a 37-year-old woman living in South Africa gave birth to seven or ten children a few days ago has now been proved false. In fact, 33-year-old Gosium Sitho claimed to have given birth to seven sons and three daughters.
After investigation, the claim was proved to be false
The incident, published by Pretoria News, identified 33-year-old Gosium Thomara Sithol, who allegedly gave birth to seven sons and three daughters. Seattle was in the running to snatch the Guinness World Record title for keeping the most babies alive in a single birth. However, after investigation, the claim has been proved to be false.
Doctors scanned about 600 children on medical scans
Not only that, this woman also registered a Guinness World Record in her name. According to preliminary reports, Seattle’s colleague Teboho Sostessi said doctors spoke of eight children during the medical scan, which is twice less than Seattle’s claim.
Hospitals said there were not so many children
No official medical report of the incident was received from the province of Guateng near Johannesburg, our partner website WWIN reported. Also, some medical tests have shown that Seattle was not recently pregnant either. After which this claim has been proved to be a forgery. The report further states that the news published about the birth of 10 children at once was suspicious as the news did not mention the hospital for the birth of the children. The suspicion deepens when many hospitals deny it.
