Taiwan: Fire breaks out in 40-year-old building, killing 46

A fire broke out in a 13-storey building in Taiwan, killing 46 people. This building was 40 years old. 11 people died on the spot due to the fire in the building.

Taipei: Southern Taiwan (South Taiwan) in a 13-storey residential building (Residential Building) on Thursday, 46 people died and about 41 people were scorched due to fire. Kaohsiung (KaohsiungCity fire department officials said that the fire started around 3 am. The fire was extremely ‘horrific’, causing several floors of the building to be gutted.

11 people died on the spot

Taiwanese officials said 46 people died and about 41 others were injured in the fire. At the same time, the head of the fire department, Li Ching-siu, said that 11 people died on the spot and their bodies have been sent to the morgue.
